Join CWA to Kayak and Fish the Shenandoah River, Virginia

Trip Overview

Join us for another fish and float on the Shenandoah river this summer. Rent a fishing kayak or canoe with a buddy and enjoy floating and seeking out small mouth bass. This is a summer club tradition!

Bring the following with you:

• 5wt or heavier rod

• Small mouth / Blue gill flies (poppers, terrestrials, etc)

• Cooler with drinks and snacks

• Hat

• Sunscreen

• Sunglasses

• A rope/bungee if you want to tie up your boat and get out and wade in the river

Trip Cost

We will be doing the Hazard Mill route (3 miles). Cost varies by boat. $46/kayak, $69/tandem kayak, $56/fishing kayak, $69/canoe.

If you have your own boat, they can tow it to the put in spot for a small fee.

All payments are made directly to Down River Canoe Company.

Fishing License Requirements

• All anglers are required to have a valid Virginia fishing license
