Fishing Trips

Know Before You Go

Catch and Release
Unless otherwise specified, we pratice catch & release for fish caught during CWA trips. This helps to ensure the ecosystem remains vibrant and active for generations of anglers to come.

What to Pack
Ask the trip organizer about the rods and reels to bring, fly patterns, and other equipment considerations. Need equipment? CWA may have some for you to borrow (advance coordination required).

Costs and Expenses
Be sure you know what is and is not covered in your trip costs. Some trips have rod fees or extras that will be paid on site. If you are doing a guided trip, be prepared to tip your fishing guide.

Fishing License Requirements
Each state and location may have its own requirements for fishing licenses. CWA members must adhere to local, state, and federal laws on any fishing trip.
