Need a fishing buddy or want to know about stream access?

Our exclusive, members-only texting application (GroupMe) provides a means to communicate with other members. Swap fish stories, arrange fishing days, discuss equipment, and so much more.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Yes! Any angler, man or woman, may join CWA. There are also no restrictions on geographic location - our members are all over the country!

  • If you have become an individual member and would like to add another adult and upgrade your membership to a household, please contact us.

  • Membership is annual and expires on 31 December each year.

    If you sign up after 1 September, your membership will roll over into the next year automatically.

  • You can elect not to renew your membership at the end of the year, but cancelling your membership early does not entitle you to a partial refund.

  • The household membership is intended for two adults.

  • Absolutely! Many of our members are new anglers or new to the sport of fly fishing.

  • Zeffy provides free membership management software to non-profit organizations. Our partnership with Zeffy allows CWA to keep our operating costs low, while maximizing efficiency.

    Zeffy is used by over 50,000 non-profit organizations, so it’s reputable and secure. And, best of all, CWA does not need to pay fees to leverage Zeffy service.

  • Zeffy asks for a donation during check out to help cover their operating costs, allowing them to extend membership management software to non-profits like CWA free-of-charge.

    You do NOT need to donate to Zeffy - it’s entirely optional! And CWA’s relationship with Zeffy is not impacted by your decision to donate or not.

    But if you appreciate companies like Zeffy extending services to our organization for free and have the means to throw a few dollars their direction as a “thank you” — that’d be pretty cool too.

  • If you elect to auto renew your membership, you will receive an email 1 month before membership expires reminding you about the upcoming renewal. Unless you elect to terminate your membership, your card will be automatically debited for the membership dues at the start of the new membership period.
