When nothing else works, go weird. The white bead can be an attractor to fish who are extra picky - and when it works, it is gangbusters. This is one of those patterns that it takes only a few casts to figure out: fish either love it or hate it. But we always carry a few white bead nymph patterns. Most anglers have a pattern like this in their box — something that they don’t start with, but when nothing else works, they tie it on. So next time you’re in a fly tying funk, put a white bead on!
