Fly of the Month: Mayfly Dry Fly

Each month we highlight a fly pattern that we think you should know and carry - this month it is the Mayfly Dry Fly!

It seems only fitting that we chose a Mayfly pattern for the month of May. Yes, it may be a little corny, but these dry flies can be incredibly effective when there is a hatch. They’re also very easy to tie — unlike some dry fly patterns! There are dozens of patterns to choose from and plenty of tutorials, so don’t hesitate to spend a few minutes searching the internet before sitting down at your tying bench to whip up these patterns.

Don’t forget to pre-treat your fly with some float / RainX to make sure they sit high in the water.
